Portwest FR20 Hood: Multi-Risk Protection

The FR20 is a personal protective garment designed to cover the head and neck in high thermal risk environments. It is part of the ModaFlame™ Knit line, composed of 60% modacrylic, 39% cotton, and 1% carbon fiber.

Operational Capabilities

• ARC2 Safety: Provides protection against electric arcs with an ATPV value of 16 Cal/CM2.
• Inherent Protection: Its flame-retardant properties are inherent to the fiber, meaning they do not degrade with washing, unlike chemical treatments.
• Comfort: Its high cotton content allows for greater breathability, helping to reduce fatigue during prolonged use.
• Certifications: Complies with international standards such as EN ISO 11612, EN 1149-5, ASTM F1959, and is classified as CE-CAT III.
