The S553 Radial jacket is a technical garment designed to protect against adverse weather, specifically in environments where water repellency and wind resistance are critical factors for comfort and safety. Made with a high-density Softshell outer fabric and an internal microfleece lining, this garment offers a precise balance between breathability and body heat retention. It is optimized for operational and supervisory personnel who require an active barrier against the elements without compromising mobility or corporate aesthetics.

Technical Features and Operational Capabilities

• Texpel™ Splash Technology: The outer fabric incorporates a state-of-the-art hydrophobic treatment that creates a lotus effect (water droplets slide off without penetrating the fiber). This technology prevents fabric saturation from light rain and repels oil stains or common dirt in industrial environments.
• Insulation and Thermal Comfort: The internal polyester microfleece lining retains body heat in cool temperature conditions, while the Softshell design acts as a windbreaker, mitigating the wind-chill effect during outdoor tasks.
• Mobility Engineering: Thanks to the inherent flexibility of the Softshell fabric, the cut pattern allows for full arm rotation without pulling at the armpits or back, facilitating inspection maneuvers or light work that requires dynamism.

IMPORTANT: This garment offers protection against mild climates and light weather. It is NOT a chemical, flame-resistant, or arc-flash protection garment. Water repellency is effective against drizzle and splashes; it should not be considered a waterproof garment for severe storms. The use of this jacket does not replace the technical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by your Specific Risk Assessment.

Maintenance and Care Instructions

• Washing: Machine wash at moderate temperature (maximum 40°C). Use mild liquid detergent; avoid using fabric softeners, as these clog the fabric pores and degrade the Texpel™ finish.
• Drying: Air dry, preferably in the shade. Do not use an industrial dryer at high temperatures to prevent the fleece lining from shrinking.
• Ironing: Do not iron. Excessive heat damages the internal Softshell membrane.
• Inspection: Check the condition of the zippers and cuff adjustments before each use. If there are seam damages or tears in the outer fabric, the wind and water protection capacity is considered compromised.
