Portwest PW360 High-Visibility Jacket: Waterproof Engineering and Class 4:3 Breathability

The PW360 is a high-performance safety garment designed for extreme weather conditions and demanding work environments. Its 3-layer technical architecture integrates absolute waterproofing (11,000 mm) with industry-leading breathability (50,000 g/m²/24hrs), ensuring the wearer remains dry and comfortable from both external rain protection and internal sweat management during high-exertion activities.

Technical Features and Safety Certifications

  • Premium Weather Protection (EN 343 Class 4:3): The EN 343 certification validates its status as an elite product for weather protection. Impermeability Class 4 ensures a complete barrier against water, while breathability Class 3 (maximum level) prevents internal overheating of the wearer.
  • Maximum Visibility (Class 3): Certified under international standards EN ISO 20471, ANSI/ISEA 107, and RIS 3279. This classification guarantees the highest possible visual detection in traffic environments, hazardous industrial zones, and even railways, in both daytime and nighttime conditions.
  • Functionality and Ergonomics: Sport-cut design including strategic underarm ventilation zippers for active thermal control and multiple secure pockets for storing tools or personal devices.

Safety Notice and Limitations of Use

IMPORTANT: This garment is a protective system against adverse weather and for high visibility. It is NOT flame-retardant, not anti-static, and offers no protection against chemical or mechanical hazards. It should not be used in direct proximity to open flames or welding environments, as the technical fabric may be compromised. Ensure zippers and fastenings are properly secured to maintain the integrity of the waterproof barrier.

Maintenance and Care Instructions

  • Washing: Machine wash with technical or neutral detergent. DO NOT use fabric softeners, as these chemicals obstruct the technical breathability membrane (MVP) and can degrade the water-repellent treatment of the outer layer.
  • Drying: Air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources (radiators, stoves) that could deform the sealed layers or damage the waterproof zippers.
  • Tape Maintenance: Clean reflective bands only with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive brushes that may scratch the reflective surface and reduce its effectiveness under EN ISO 20471.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the integrity of the heat-sealed seams and ventilation zippers. If detachment of the internal seal or damage to the casing is observed, the garment's waterproof capacity has expired and it should be removed from service.
