Descripción Detallada
The HeatArmor® 5058 glove is the ideal tool for the professional TIG welder seeking precision. Its design focuses on providing superior dexterity, allowing for complete handling and control over the filler rod to achieve flawless results.
The palm, made of goatskin , provides the necessary sensitivity for fine work. To ensure durability, the backhand is made of cowhide, and all seams are reinforced with Kevlar® thread to withstand high temperatures. Comfort is guaranteed thanks to its ergonomic design with pre-curved fingers.
Safety is further enhanced by certified contact heat resistance and an extended 5-inch safety sleeve . This barrier effectively protects the wrist and forearm from accidental heat and sparks.
Advantages of the HeatArmor® 5058 Based on its Standards
1. Standard EN 388:2016 - 3122X (Mechanical Risks)
This standard ensures that the glove is durable for daily use in the workshop.
-
Abrasion Resistance: Level 3 (out of 4)
-
Advantage: High durability. Goatskin and cowhide resist wear and tear from constant friction when handling metals and tools, resulting in a longer glove lifespan .
-
-
Puncture Resistance: Level 2 (out of 4)
-
Advantage: It offers reliable protection against punctures from filler rods, wires or sharp corners of workpieces, preventing common workshop injuries.
-
2. Standard EN 407:2020 - 412X4X (Thermal Risks - Heat and Fire)
This is the most important standard for a welding glove and certifies its performance against heat.
-
Flame Behavior: Level 4 (the highest)
-
Advantage: Critical fire protection. This means the glove material won't easily catch fire and will stop burning as soon as it's removed from the flame. It's your first line of defense against severe burns.
-
-
Contact Heat: Level 1 (out of 4)
-
Advantage: It allows you to briefly touch hot parts (up to 100°C) without getting burned. This is extremely useful for adjusting or moving a workpiece immediately after welding.
-
-
Small Splashes of Molten Metal: Level 4 (the highest)
-
Advantage: Maximum protection against sparks and small droplets of molten metal generated during welding. The glove effectively repels these splashes, preventing skin burns.
