The North® RU6500 Series is a silicone full facepiece and air-purifying respirator for protection against particles, gases or vapors, or any combination of particles, gases and vapors as well as possible splashes.
Do not use cartridges or filters in environments less than 19.5% volume oxygen, unless it is to be used as a continuous air flow respirator.
Certification
Certifications The North RU6500 is currently approved by NIOSH as an air-purifying respirator only.
NIOSH certifications as a powered air-purifying respirator (with Honeywell's Compact Air and mask-mounted PAPRs), and as a continuous flow air respirator (with Honeywell's CF2007 and a single center-mounted breathing tube) are pending.
