July 1, 2024

Appropriate clothing for railway activities is derived from a special standard or classification for high visibility clothing. that comply with an orange color designed specifically for this activity so that the visibility of workers on the road can be guaranteed.

The first step is to identify that the color used is a fluorescent orange with specific chromatic coordinates. and a special lighting factor.

Reflective material: Clothing must include at least materials that meet the photometric and physical performance aligned with EN 20471 of at least 330 Candela. but in our garments all our products are tested at 400 Candelas.

Visibility Class. The garments for this activity must comply with class 2 at least. which is the middle class for high visibility clothing.

Designs. All garments that meet this standard must have plain or contrasting designs that meet at least class 2.

These standards are specific to the railway industry in the United Kingdom but are based on the European standard EN 20471:2013 and it is important that workers adhere to these requirements, or if they are not mandatory in their country, at least take them as a reference.
